QCF Regulation Survey
29 June 2009
This survey seeks to draw upon the views of regulated organisations and other interested parties based on their experience of how the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) is being regulated.
The survey forms part of the review and evaluation of the QCF regulations being undertaken by the qualifications regulators in England (Ofqual), Wales (DCELLS) and Northern Ireland (CCEA).
The review and evaluation of the QCF regulations was announced by the regulators when the Regulatory arrangements were published in August 2008. This is being undertaken over a period of two years with an interim report due to be published this autumn. As part of this work the regulators will draw upon a broad base of evidence about the operation of the QCF and how it is being regulated. This will include consideration of the units and qualifications currently in the framework as well as feedback from those who have worked with the regulations. A more detailed overview of this evaluation and its scope can be downloaded from the related links section on the right hand side of this page.
The survey is available to complete from 29 June until 7 August 2009. It is primarily aimed at those organisations that are subject to regulation from the qualifications regulators in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Contributions from other informed organisations and individuals are also welcome however.
You can download the questions contained in this survey in a 'pdf' format from the related links section on the right hand side of this page. This allows you to print out and consider the questions before responding via the online questionnaire. Only responses submitted via the online questionnaire will be analysed, if you are unable to complete the survey in this way please contact us at qcf@ofqual.gov.uk or call the Ofqual helpline on 0300 303 3346.
In addition to the survey the regulators are also hosting feedback events to give you an opportunity to discuss and give detailed consideration to the way in which the QCF is being regulated. The discussions will be based on the effectiveness of the requirements made in the different sections of the Regulatory arrangements as well as the processes put in place by the regulators to ensure these requirements are being met.
